Gifting Plastic Surgery

With the New Year here, gifting plastic surgery is an option!
Gift certificates are always available!
In a related Facebook post, someone recently joked, “This gift may get you slapped… Hey, you’re looking kind of,…well, OLD. Here’s a gift that benefits all those who have to look at you! Season’s greetings!”
Of course, his post and our response was good-natured and in jest. We would never recommend gifting plastic surgery or other cosmetic procedures to someone who has never expressed an interest or a desire.
It’s neither appropriate or kind to suggest that someone desperately needs to have work done. Beyond that, we don’t want to trivialize a potentially invasive intervention that may have health implications.
Gifting plastic surgery is best for friends or family members who are already interested in a procedure – whether surgical or non-invasive.
The reality is that many people have considered (and are researching) cosmetic procedures, and would love to start the New Year looking and feeling more refreshed and youthful. Time, gravity, and life in general take a toll on how we look and feel. If having a procedure can restore or refine your face or figure, why not consider it?
At the same time, we recognize that having a cosmetic procedure or service is an intensely personal decision. Furthermore, both the patient and surgeon need to agree upon the best course of action to get the desired results. And of course, even if you gift plastic surgery, the doctor must believe the procedure is in the patient’s best interest and that they’re a suitable candidate.
If you’re thinking about gifting plastic surgery, here’s what you need to do:
- Start by finding out what the recipient needs and wants.
- See if they’ve already had a consultation
- Find out what they learned, what concerns they have, and what the cost will be.
In our 20+ years of experience, we’ve found that most of our prospective patients would love a little help paying for their procedure.
At Restifo Plastic Surgery, Dr. Mao specializes in facial plastics while Dr. Restifo focusses on breast and body procedures. If you or someone you know might benefit from our services, consider spreading the word about our gift certificates.
